Trust the Progress

One of the dumbest ways we sabotage our own growth is by "yeah, butt"-ing our progress.

"Did you get 4 A's and 2 B's this semester? Way to go!" "Yeah, but I should have gotten all A's."

"Hey man, I noticed your sales are up a bit from last quarter." "Yeah, but my plan was to double that number."

This is remarkably dumb of us, but we all tend to do it. And the result is usually we regress back to our starting point, feeling even worse about ourselves.

Let's start our week by trusting our progress. What have you improved on lately, by even 1%?

(Read what James Clear has to say about the power of small continuous progress. He doesn't know me, but I really like his simple explanations.)

Peace begins with a pause,

Hal
