A very quick word to my fellow men this Christmas Eve:

Even in this beautiful age of growing equality for women, you are still powerful and influential. Even in this chaotic age of technological immediacy, you are still greater than any machine.

As you gather with family this week, remember this power. Families still respond well to a strong man in control of his tone, his temper, his attitude, and the grace he extends to others in their humanness.

Be at ease today and tomorrow. It makes a great Christmas gift to everyone.
